This is the beginning of a Plumeria tree. The flowers are used in making leis. Max cut a branch from a neighbor's tree and stuck it in the ground and this is what we got. It's just amazing to me. We started another one and it's already getting little buds on it. I love the flowers because they smell so sweet. It's really fun gardening here because things actually grow without any effort.

Tomatoes
These are my starts for tomatoes. I started them from seeds, the first time for me. Obviously I need to transplant them into a bigger space. I don't think they're big enough to go directly into the garden yet. They are cherry tomatoes. You can actually see them grow from day to day. This is the rainy season right now.
Our Garden
We planted our garden a couple of weeks ago. The zuchinni, watermelon and cucumbers are doing pretty good but the corn is another story!! The banana trees are growing like crazy too. The wind blows a lot, nothing like Rexburg, and so the leaves look pretty shredded. We should be able to get bananas in another year.
Sunday Phone Calls
Last Sunday we had our family "phone visit". Everyone was on the computer on ooVoo and we were able to see and talk to everyone in the family. Some of the quality wasn't that great but it was amazing to me that we are separated by about 4000 miles but we were all "kind of" together. Technology is so cool. Thanks Clint for setting this up for us. We are going to do it about every two weeks.
